Muslim Abolitionist Futures

As a graphic facilitator, I attended and took notes during specified panels and discussions during a multi-day virtual political convening and synthesized the information into graphics that align with the coalition's own branding.  These are three of the seven graphics I produced for the team in Illustrator.

Buddhist Peace Fellowship

In order to promote Dharma of Pose, a virtual panel discussing the intersections of Buddhism and 1980's NYC ballroom culture, I collaborated with the Co-Director and Communications Director of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship to develop graphics and a custom animation for this event.  After deciding on the concept of the animation (as seen in the Animation page), I iterated on a variety of outfits for the queen.  Once I finished animating, I met with the Co-Director to put together a central image to incorporate into promotional images (the text "The Dharma of Pose") and composed this post formatted for Instagram.

I had the pleasure of designing and iterating upon a promotional poster for a series of virtual events hosted by the Office of Multicultural Student Success.  I started by researching the theme of "sleepover" and sketched a few different ideas and ultimately chose this composition.

Miscalcul[Asian]

As a Creative Co-Director of the independent online publication Miscalcul[Asian], I took upon multiple roles as a graphic request manager, magazine layout manager, brand concept designer, and occasionally artist as needed.

Since the entire team and publication started in July 2020, and many of the team members are in high school and college, I set a lot of workflow systems and took on a lot of responsibility to ensure convenience and comfort for those involved.

@blairimani (Instagram)

I was requested by activist influencer Blair Imani for an illustration featuring vegan and plant-based foods with a few Instagram posts as ideas of her vision and a lot of creative freedom.  Since the turnaround was brief, I combined many of the photos she sent me and immediately brainstormed a variety of foods and hand poses.

I focused on diverse food options and a wide range of skin tones to present infinite possibilities amongst plant-based foods.  I made sure to separate each hand and food to make spacing for the text easier to edit

DePaul University

During my college career, I was very active in the multicultural student centers and developed many posters nd promotional materials for them over the years..

Since most of the posters were completely under my discretion, I kept most, if not all of the poster designs simple, fun, and inviting..  Throughout the multicultural student centers, I strived to make sure the visuals reflected the engaging and friendly atmosphere that many of these spaces had.
